- Supporting Women in the Music Industry
- A Timeless Message of Empowerment
As one of the most influential figures in pop music for over a decade, Lady Gaga recently spoke about the rise of new talents like Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, and Chappell Roan—three artists who made a significant impact in 2024 with their innovative work.
Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter have both been nominated for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammy Awards, and all three are in the running for Album of the Year. These nominations are a testament to their growing influence and success.
“They’re incredible,” Lady Gaga said in an exclusive interview with ELLE.
“They have strength, vibrancy, creativity, and undeniable skill. I think they’re being celebrated because they’re truly amazing,” she added, expressing admiration for their talent and authenticity.
Lady Gaga’s Advice to Rising Pop Stars
When asked what advice she would give to emerging pop artists, Lady Gaga emphasized:
"The most important thing is to be whole in what you do."
"Who you are at home matters just as much as who you are on stage. And no matter what others say, it's essential to value yourself beyond all of it."
Reflecting on her own journey, she shared:
"I've been in the music industry for years. Being both a woman and an artist can be exhausting."
She opened up about the pressure placed on female artists to maintain a specific public image, even when it conflicts with their personal happiness and authenticity.
Encouraging Artists to Stay True to Themselves
Gaga’s advice highlights the importance of balancing professional success with personal well-being. She urges younger singers to hold onto their identities and not let the weight of fame dictate their self-worth.
Lady Gaga’s New Album and Grammy Nominations
The ELLE interview came shortly after the highly anticipated announcement of her seventh studio album, Mayhem.
Set for release on March 7, the 14-track album features the hit duet with Bruno Mars, Die With A Smile, as well as the song Disease.
A third single, along with its music video, is scheduled to premiere during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards on February 2.
Die With A Smile has already received two Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Lady Gaga’s Support for Female Artists
Lady Gaga has consistently championed fellow female artists, including Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Kesha.
In a Vogue interview last September, she expressed her deep commitment to supporting other women in the industry:
"I don’t just support them—I want them to know my heart is with them. I want them all to be truly happy."
A Timeless Message of Empowerment
Lady Gaga continues to uplift, inspire, and guide the next generation of artists, not just through her words but by leading with authenticity, strength, and integrity.
With her unwavering dedication to supporting women in the music industry, she proves that true success isn’t just about awards and accolades—it’s about staying true to yourself.
