November 30, 2021

This will be Lady Gaga's first appearance on MTV Unplugged and Tony Bennett's second.
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are coming to "MTV Unplugged" on December 16, as announced by MTV, releasing the first trailer.

The concert of Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, which marks the return of the iconic franchise "MTV Unplugged", was filmed earlier this year in New York, as reported by the Hit Channel in July.

The two artists performed songs for the first time from their then-forthcoming album "Love For Sale", which was released in late September and last week received six nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, including one nomination for Album of the year.

"Love For Sale" is the second and final joint album of Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett and follows their successful collaboration on the album "Cheek To Cheek" released in 2014.

The episode of "MTV Unplugged" with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga will be broadcast on Thursday, December 16 on MTV in the United States and on all global platforms of the television network.

The screening of the concert is combined with the "Love Music With MTV" campaign, a month of celebrating MTV's top music series and moments, from the Video Music Awards to Unplugged.

The MTV Unplugged episode is part of a wider Viacom collaboration with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, which also includes the TV tribute "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga", which aired on CBS and Paramount + on Sunday 28 November.

During the broadcast of "One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga", which summarizes the two concerts of the same name given by the two artists at the "Radio City Music Hall" in New York on August 3 and 5, was shown for the first time the trailer for their appearance on "MTV Unplugged".

Viacom's collaboration with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga also includes the upcoming documentary "The Lady and The Legend", which will premiere at Paramount + in 2022.

Tony Bennett reappeared on "MTV Unplugged" in 1994 and released an album with a live recording of his concert, which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1995. On the other hand, this is her first appearance. Lady Gaga on "MTV Unplugged"
