Kygo has hinted at plans to collaborate with Coldplay on a chart-topping track.
The 33-year-old Norwegian DJ and music producer, known for his global hits, has previously teamed up with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin but has yet to work with the full band. However, Kygo is determined to make it happen in 2025, with a Coldplay collaboration topping his New Year’s bucket list.
In an interview with The Sun, Kygo shared, “One of my goals since I started was to have a song with Coldplay. We don’t have any songs right now, but hopefully, it’ll happen.”
The award-winning artist also reflected on his successful 2019 reimagining of Whitney Houston’s Higher Love. He revealed, “Her estate actually reached out to me. They had a version of Higher Love they never officially released and wanted a new take on it. I got the stems, created my version, and they loved it.”
Kygo has a history of high-profile collaborations, including performing alongside Chris Martin in 2022 on The Astronaut, a track featuring BTS’s Jin. Over the years, he has also worked with stars like Rita Ora, OneRepublic, Tina Turner, and Donna Summer.
Fans eagerly await what could be a groundbreaking partnership between Kygo and Coldplay.
