Justin Bieber postpones tour again: 'I have to prioritize my health'

September 10, 2022

Justin Bieber has announced that he is postponing his 'Justice World Tour' again.

The 28-year-old singer explained in a post on social media that he is stopping his tour once again to prioritize his health.

“Earlier this year, I went public with my battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, where my face suffered partial paralysis. "Due to this illness, I was unable to complete the North American leg of the 'Justice Tour,'" he wrote in his message.

Justin Bieber then reported that after taking some time to rest and consult with his family and doctors, he continued with the European leg of his tour, however, after his final performance at the Rock in Rio festival in Rio de Janeiro of Brazil, he realized that he needed even more time.

“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an attempt to continue the tour. I did six live shows, but that really took a toll on me," he noted.

“Last weekend I performed at Rock in Rio and gave everything I had and didn't have to the people in Brazil. When I got off the stage, exhaustion came over me and I realized that I have to prioritize my health right now,” he explained.

“So I'm going to take a break from touring for now. I'll be fine, but I need time to rest and heal. I am very proud to have brought this show and the message of 'Justice' to the whole world," he said.

“Thank you for your prayers and support all this time! I love you all with passion!” he concluded.

Justin Bieber had an additional 70 concerts scheduled until March 2023 in South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

The Justice World Tour kicked off in March, but he postponed his North American tour in early June after he announced he was suffering from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

After Justin Bieber announced on June 10 that he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has left him with partial facial paralysis, he postponed his concerts in Washington, Toronto and New York in early June, followed by the postponement of the rest of the North American leg of the tour.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and can lead to facial paralysis and hearing loss.

“So for those who have been upset by the cancellations of my upcoming concerts, I'm just obviously not physically able to do them. It's pretty serious, as you can see. I wish it wasn't like this, but obviously my body is telling me to slow down," Justin Bieber said in a video in June.

“As you can see, my eye won't blink. I can't smile on that side of my face. My nostril doesn't move. I have complete paralysis on one side of my face,” he described.
