Jisoo of Blackpink signs major deal with Warner Records

Jisoo, a member of the globally renowned group Blackpink, has signed a worldwide contract with Warner Records to further her solo music career.

Her first solo mini-album, Amortage, is set to be released on February 14.

"I’m excited for this new era and the continuation of my musical journey," Jisoo said in a statement.

"I feel like I’m just getting started, and I want to thank Blinks for all their love and support. This is only the beginning, and I can't wait for this important moment to unfold."

Over the weekend, Jisoo revealed the title and details of Amortage to her 79 million Instagram followers. The album marks her first full solo project outside of Blackpink.

"There’s no doubt that Jisoo is one of the biggest stars in the world, and we are confident that her solo career will have a huge impact," said Warner Records CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck.

"Her energy, passion, and artistic expression are on another level. Her music transcends borders and brings cultures together."

In 2023, Jisoo released her single Flower, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200. As a member of Blackpink, she has achieved nine Billboard Hot 100 hits, including Ice Cream with Selena Gomez, which became the group's highest-charting song.

That same year, Blackpink made history as the first Korean group to headline the Coachella festival.
