Jennifer Lopez reveals that Drake and Adam Levine were nominated for the role of Maluma in "Marry Me"

Jennifer Lopez has Maluma by her side in the movie "Marry Me", but the role of her fiancé who eventually played the Colombian singer had been considered by many popular artists.

In an interview with Zane Lowe and Apple Music, Jennifer Lopez revealed that, among other things, the names of artists such as Drake and Adam Levine had fallen on the table during the discussions.

Jennifer Lopez, however, was willing to use Spanish on the big screen and in "Marry Me" to create a bilingual album for the film. Maluma was finally chosen.

"I wanted to make a bilingual album," said the 52-year-old singer.

"When we talked about this song, a lot of different names came up. "We needed someone who is a musician, a superstar, a super swag, who could play this character," he continued.

"And with all the elements he has he could be lovable, but at the same time… the perfect, right person. "The man you do not want to marry and who could he be?" He explained.

While countless names were mentioned, no one mentioned a Latin artist.

"And so many names were heard. All the great artists you can think of right now. "But not a single Latin artist was heard," said Jennifer Lopez.

"And I said do you know anything? I really want to make a bilingual album for a mainstream Hollywood movie. Why do not we choose a Spanish-speaking artist, a Latin artist. "Someone who speaks Spanish and lets speak Spanish in the film," he added.

The movie "Marry Me", starring Jennifer Lopez, Maluma and Owen Wilson, premieres in Greek cinemas on February 11.

The album with the soundtrack of the film was released on Friday, February 4, which includes, among others, the duets of Jennifer Lopez and Maluma in the already well-known hit "Pa 'Ti" and the song of the same title in the movie "Marry Me".
