BTS star J-Hope is officially back—and he’s not alone. This June, he’s teaming up with Memphis rap firecracker GloRilla on a sizzling new single titled “Killin’ It Girl.” Dropping June 13, the track promises to bring the heat with a blend of sleek hip-hop production, heart-thumping lyrics, and chemistry you can feel.
The song spins a tale of love at first sight with a swaggering, confident twist. J-Hope lays down his signature rhythmic flair while GloRilla's powerful delivery adds grit and soul. With stripped-back production keeping things tight, the duo delivers a track that’s catchy, charismatic, and impossible to ignore.
“Killin’ It Girl” follows J-Hope’s recent solo releases “Sweet Dreams” (with Miguel) and “Mona Lisa.” Both tracks broke into the Billboard Hot 100, showing off the rapper’s growth and bold new direction. According to J-Hope, this musical evolution comes straight from the heart. Fresh out of military service, he flew to the U.S. to immerse himself in creative collabs, shaping a more eclectic sound.
“This is just the beginning,” he told Billboard. “‘Sweet Dreams’ is really personal to me, and ‘Mona Lisa’ brings that classic hip-hop fire. I’ve got more experiments on the way.”
And if you’re a fan of pure J-Hope, you’re in luck. A solo version of “Killin’ It Girl” will be released the same day, giving fans a double-dose of Hobi magic.
Currently, J-Hope is mid-tour with “Hope on the Stage,” with his next show set for May 31 at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka. The tour wraps with two major homecoming shows in Seoul on June 13 and 14—perfect timing to celebrate the new release.
