Drake Writes History - Top 9 in the Billboard Hot 100

Drake scored a unique performance.
Drake is the first artist in the 63-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to simultaneously occupy nine of the top ten places in the rankings.

The hip-hop star even dominates the top five of the Hot 100, an achievement previously only achieved by the Beatles for a week in 1964.

This week, all 21 tracks on Drake's new album "Certified Lover Boy", which was released by OVO Sound / Republic Records / Universal Music on September 3 and previously debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard, hit the Billboard Hot 100. with the best performance for 2021.

"Certified Lover Boy" is the first album in history to flood the top ten of the Hot 100 with nine songs.

The scepters of the Billboard Hot 100 belong to "Way 2 Sexy" with the participation of Future and Young Thug, which is the fifth song by Drake that debuts at No. 1 of the rankings, following in the footsteps of the songs "God's Plan", "Nice for What", "Toosie Slide" and "What's Next".

Drake is now with Ariana Grande the two artists with the most songs that have debuted at No. 1 of the Hot 100.

As the album "Certified Lover Boy" and the single "Way 2 Sexy" enter the top of the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 respectively, Drake is with Justin Bieber, BTS and Taylor Swift the only names who debuted at number one on both charts in the same week.

Meanwhile, with nine of this week's ten Hot 100 songs belonging to him, Drake is breaking his own record for the artist with the most songs appearing simultaneously in the Top 10 chart. In July 2018, he took seven of the top ten positions with the songs on his "Scorpion" album.

The rapper also expands his record for the artist with the most songs (54) that have risen to the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
