December 23, 2020

Shortly before Christmas, Coldplay share with their fans a bonus track from their latest album, "Everyday Life".

"Flags", as the title of the song just released on all digital platforms, was available in the "Everyday Life" version released in Japan.

"We love this song, but when it appeared on" Everyday Life "the posts were full and we had to put it in social isolation," Coldplay wrote in a message on social media.

"Thank you for all the ways you have supported us this year. We love you and appreciate you more than you know ", added the British band.

"Flags" points out that borders and flags cannot separate people, as they all come from the same substance and the same soul. The song is addressed to each person individually, regardless of geographical differences and sexual preferences of each.

"If you could do it all over again, would you do it again? Is there anything you would say to your older self? "There were those who wanted to put a jukebox, there were pirates who had never seen the sea, but the recurring theme, the recurring dream they had was to become what they wanted to be," sings Chris Martin.

"Everyday Life", Colplday's eighth studio album, was released by Parlophone / Warner Music in November 2019 and last month gave the band two nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards, in the "Album of the Year" and "Best Packaging" categories. Disk ".
