Chappell Roan has teased that a new album might be on the way.
The singer dropped a hint on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself holding her debut album, *The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess*, alongside another shot of her with a microphone in what looks like a recording studio. She captioned the post, “Album kinda popped off imo but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa."
In September, the 26-year-old mentioned that the album she was working on would feature a diverse mix of styles. "We have a country song, a dance track, an Eighties-inspired tune, an acoustic piece, and one with a raw, Seventies live-band vibe. It's super eclectic," she revealed.
Producer Dan Nigro, who recently collaborated with her in the studio, shared last week that they had recorded five songs together, hinting at a fresh direction for Roan’s sound. He described it as a “new version of Chappell,” with “a fun, up-tempo country song,” “a couple of ballads,” and “a mid-tempo rock song.”
This isn’t her first teaser for new material, either. Over the weekend, she posted a series of Polaroid shots on Instagram labeled, "She Gets The Job Done," with the caption, “This is a clue. Just let that sink in."
