This would be Cardi B's first starring role in a Hollywood movie.
Cardi B reportedly left her new film a few days before filming began.
The comedy "Assisted Living" was to be Cardi B's first starring role in a Hollywood movie, but the venture went viral due to the rapper's busy schedule.
According to Deadline, Paramount Players braked on "Assisted Living" just a week before production began, as Cardi B decided to leave the movie.
The rest of the cast and crew were informed that "Assisted Living" would not proceed at this time. Deadline said Cardi B's departure was due to the fact that she was "overly stressed".
Nevertheless, there are hopes that the production of the film will be able to start "later this year".

The film, written by Kay Oyegun ("This Is Us", "Queen Sugar"), was to tell the story of Amber (Cardi B), a petty thief who struggles to mitigate the consequences of a robbery that went wrong.
Desperate to escape from the police and her team, Amber disguises herself as an old woman and hides in the nursing home of her grandmother with whom she has become estranged.
While Cardi B's exuberant personality is evident daily on her social media accounts and on Facebook's "Cardi Tries" series, "Assisted Living" would be her first starring role in a Hollywood movie.
Cardi B had a small role in Jennifer Lopez's 2019 movie "Hustlers", where she played the stripper Diamond alongside Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, Julia Stiles and Keke Palmer.
He also had a small role in the movie "F9: The Fast Saga" of 2021.
The 29-year-old rapper is feverishly preparing her next record after her first full-length album, "Invasion of Privacy", which was released in 2018 and broke, but so far no further information has been released.
