Cardi B is 'upset' that her collaboration with Kanye West wasn't 'executed' properly

"I wanted to cancel the release of the song because things aren't working out the way they should."
Cardi B will release her collaboration with Kanye West and Lil Durk this week, but admits she wasn't happy with the way it was "executed."

Her new single titled 'Hot Shit' will be revealed on Friday July 1st, however, Cardi B faced some problems within her team and almost stopped the release of the song.

Despite agreeing to release 'Hot Shit', Cardi B refuses to shoot a music video for the single.

During a tearful Instagram Live broadcast, the 29-year-old rapper told fans: “I'm so shocked and so upset. A lot of people have lost the ball in the last two months, there's been a lot of misunderstanding."

“So I wanted to cancel my song release for this week because things aren't working out the way they should. But then I thought it's too drastic. So I'm going to release the song, but I'm not going to release a music video for that song," he explained.

"I'm just exhausted with everyone. I'm so tired of people not doing their job properly," he noted.

It remains unknown how the collaboration with Kanye West and Lil Durk came about, as Cardi B has previously admitted that she is "too shy" to ask male artists to work with her.

Cardi B has admitted that she doesn't have the courage to ask some of her favorite male colleagues to appear on a song with her because she gets easily dazzled by the sight of stars and because she's afraid she'll sound "sleazy".

“When female artists are coming up, you don't have to take any of them down because the others are coming up. Every time a female rapper comes out, people want to start a fake feud between us. Maybe because they don't see me with other women as often as they want," he said in an earlier Instagram live.

“The thing is, I'm shy and I'm really embarrassed to approach male artists, to be honest with you. That's why I still haven't done many collaborations that I want, because I'm afraid to approach them. I always get a little bit of a sense of wonder. "I think I'm going to be stupid, even though I'm funny," she said.

'Hot Shit' is Cardi B's first official single since 'Up' which was released in February 2021. In the meantime, the rapper's fans continue to eagerly await her next album after 2018's 'Invasion of Privacy' .
