With over 25 million votes, the BTS emerged as winners in the Band of the Year category.
BTS was one of the names that won the most awards at the MTV Video Music Awards 2021.

The South Korean men's band won the award for Best K-Pop Video and the Summer Song with the wonderful single "Butter", as well as the award for Band of the Year, having received over 25 million votes online.

It is worth noting that this is the third consecutive year that BTS prevails both in the category of Best K-Pop Video (since its establishment in 2019) and the Band of the Year.

BTS won the award for Best K-Pop Video for the first time in 2019 with the single "Boy With Luv" with the participation of Halsey and in 2020 emerged as winners in the category with "On", before taking the baton this year " Butter ", which was released in May and has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of 10 weeks.

The award for Best K-Pop Video was announced by Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees, AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys and Lance Bass of NSYNC.

Although the BTS were unable to attend the MTV Video Music Awards 2021, they recorded a thank-you speech that began with the performance of a short excerpt from "Butter".

"Thank you for this honor. "We are sorry we could not be there, but we hope to be there next time," said J-Hope.

Jungkook, the youngest member of BTS, revealed that the band feels "very blessed" and "grateful" for all the love and support he has received from his fans over the past year.

V seemed to agree, adding: "Long live ARMY, the best people in the world!".

"ARMY, all this is possible thanks to you. "Although we can not meet closely, we feel your love every minute and second", said RM and Suga added: "We love you and we miss you".

The BTS talk ended with Jin promising that the boy band would continue to offer the "great music and great looks" for which he is famous around the world.
