Michelle Obama also added her own touch by playing the tambourine.
Bruce Springsteen has been on friendly terms with Barack Obama since the singer endorsed the former US president during his first presidential campaign in 2008.

Earlier in the day, the Obamas were spotted strolling the streets of Barcelona, attracting large crowds.
Bruce Springsteen and Steven Spielberg have also been friends and fellow travelers for many years, with the singer contributing his music to many of the director's films.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off their first tour in seven years on February 1st from Tampa, Florida and wrapped up the first North American leg on April 14th in Newark, New Jersey.
However, they had to cancel several concerts because several band members contracted COVID-19 and other illnesses.
The tour will continue in Europe through July 25th, with a final stop in Monza, Italy, before returning to the United States for another leg beginning August 9th at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
