"I don't know if it will happen, but I'd love to see it."
Former Oasis guitarist Bonehead believes reuniting the band would be "worth it" because of the impact it would have on a younger generation of fans.
Bonehead, whose real name is Paul Arthurs, took part in a special tribute to King Charles III Coronation Weekend on UK radio station Radio X on Monday 8 May, where he discussed the possibility of the iconic band reuniting.
During the show, Bonehead, who was a member of Oasis from the early 1990s until August 1999, told his listeners that he would like to see the band return for just one live show.
Mainly because it would mean so much to their younger fans who never got the chance to see them live.
"Never say never, I would say," Bonehead replied when asked about the possibility of a reunion by host Toby Tarrant.
“Realistically? I do not know. Liam has his solo career. As does Noel. I don't know, you're asking the wrong person. But I would love to see it,” he continued.
"Some days you wake up and think, 'Well, there's no reason to do it.' Has been. But when I'm on stage with Liam Gallagher as a solo artist and I come out and we play 'Rock 'N' Roll Star', the crowd goes wild," he said.
"People are jumping higher and louder than at some concerts back then. I look at the first ten rows when I'm on a pitch with Liam, and he's about 16 or 17. These people weren't even born until Oasis' career started,” he noted.
“So if there was a reunion, wouldn't it be worth it for them? Did you hear that Liam? Did Noel hear that?” he added.
When asked if he would be willing to return to Oasis if the band reunited, Bonehead confidently stated: “See that bag down there? My pennies in there. I'm ready, I've got my dancing shoes on."
The possibility of an Oasis reunion has been a frequent topic of discussion in recent years, with Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher opposing the idea.
Elsewhere in the show, Bonehead said he would not accept being knighted by the British monarchy and reckoned Liam Gallagher would do the same.
“It might have a nice sound, but no I wouldn't take it. Not that I'm anti-royal or anything, no I just wouldn't. It doesn’t even sound right, does it?” she said.
“I wouldn't accept it and I don't think Liam would. Bet Noel would take it, wouldn't he? He should be with the gentlemen,” he commented.
