Billie Eilish Addresses Her Agoraphobia: 'I Do More Things'

September 17, 2022

Billie Eilish admits fame can scare her.

"I don't go out," she confessed during a chat with Fitzy & Wippa on Australia's Nova radio station.

“I used to go out and walk and do things. And I don't do that that much. Because life is a little different,” he continued.

"When I was on tour I was just afraid to go out because I was just worried," she continues. I'm more relaxed now. Now I'm more comfortable with it," he noted.

What makes Billie Eilish feel comfortable is, among other things, contact with wild nature, birdsong and cycling.

“So I get more done. But I was also just busy. We were in New Zealand and we went for a bike ride... In the last two years I've been going out more," he added.

Billie Eilish is currently in Oceania for the fourth and final leg of her 'Happier Than Ever, The World Tour', which kicked off on September 8 in Auckland, New Zealand.

With the death of Queen Elizabeth II dominating the news, talk also turned to Billie Eilish meeting the British royal family.

Even a singer with worldwide hits and seven Grammy Awards can have her moments of stress. This happened when King Charles appeared before her.

Billie Eilish met the royal family last year at the premiere of the James Bond film No Time To Die, for which she recorded the title song.

That night, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas met Prince William and Kate Middleton and King Charles, then Prince of Wales. Shortly after, the singer revealed that she broke royal protocol.

"I had it all ready," he told Fitzy. “I was studying what the protocol was to follow. I was ready to bow down. I was ready not to shake hands. I was prepared not to ask questions and not to speak unless I was spoken to. And I was so worried about it," she explained.

“And they came in and everything was great. They were so nice and friendly and charming,” she continued.

Billie Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever, The World Tour' will conclude with two concerts in Perth, Australia on August 29th and 30th.
