Shakira vows to deliver her 'most ambitious' tour to date

Shakira has hinted that her upcoming tour will be her "most ambitious" yet.

The *Hips Don't Lie* singer is gearing up to take her live show around the world, describing it as her "biggest" production to date. She shared that, after years of hard work, she feels she deserves to embark on what she calls the "tour of [her] life."

In an interview with *GQ* magazine, where she graces the cover, Shakira revealed, "It is the most ambitious tour of my entire career, the biggest production I have had so far. Not because the public asks for it, but because I deserve it after so many years working in this world. I deserve the tour of my life. I am throwing the house out the window."

She added, "I'm happy because I’ll be able to revisit the different stages of my artistic life, up to today. It will be the longest show I've ever done, with the biggest screen and everything as large as you can imagine. More is more and better!"

The 47-year-old singer released her latest album, *Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran*, earlier this year, which helped her process the "grief" following her 2022 separation from long-time partner Gerard Piqué, with whom she shares two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9. She explained, "It wasn't easy to recognize all the vulnerability I was feeling at the time I wrote this album, and then to lay it bare. For many months after my separation, I had been silent... but I couldn't really begin to grieve until I started writing music. It was my way of healing. And it continues to be. Grief is a process that is not linear. It is full of peaks and valleys."

Shakira also reflected on the different facets of her personality, explaining how various "versions" of herself coexist. "The Shakira of *Pies Descalzos* is a girl who lives inside me. A girl with a guitar and leather pants, looking to be heard. I turn to her in many moments, and she gives me strength when I need it." She continued, "But there's also the Wolf, the archetype of a wild woman, a woman who finds new freedom. That wild wolf... gave me a lot of strength, a lot of power."

She concluded, "These personalities coexist in me, and many more. They are not masks. They are real and part of who I am."
