The iconic pop antelope is back — and so is her superstar voice.
Shakira is returning to the big screen — animated style. The global pop icon is reprising her fan-favorite role as Gazelle in Disney’s upcoming sequel, Zootopia 2. The film’s first trailer just dropped, and it’s already clear: Gazelle is once again stealing the spotlight.
First introduced in 2016’s Zootopia, Gazelle quickly became one of the film’s breakout characters — thanks in no small part to her shimmering stage presence and the infectious anthem “Try Everything”. Now, with fresh adventures and an expanded cast, Gazelle is back — bigger, bolder, and, yes, still fabulously antlered.
New faces, new fun
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 reunites fans with beloved leads Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, voiced once again by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman. The sequel also introduces an exciting lineup of new characters, including Gary the Snake (voiced by Ke Huy Quan), Nibbles the Beaver (Fortune Feimster), and Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka therapist voiced by Quinta Brunson.
Shakira’s world tour adds to the moment
Shakira’s return to animation comes amid her red-hot “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour, which is packing arenas across the globe and celebrates her latest album of the same name.
She recently wowed fans on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a nostalgic performance of her iconic hit “Hips Don’t Lie” and a soulful rendition of “Antología”, honoring the 20th anniversary of her beloved ballad.
Her tour continues through June, with upcoming stops in Montreal, Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco — proving once again that Shakira is truly everywhere.
