Rose joins Coldplay for a surprise performance of “APT.” in Seoul

Fans attending Coldplay’s concert in Seoul on Tuesday, April 22, were treated to a jaw-dropping surprise. ROSÉ of BLACKPINK made an unexpected appearance on stage at the Goyang Stadium to perform her hit single “APT.” alongside the band, drawing a thunderous response from the crowd.

The beloved K-pop star stepped onto the runway stage in a sparkling silver blazer, radiating energy. She belted out the catchy lyrics of the track that solidified her solo career, while thousands of fans sang along with palpable excitement.

During the second verse, Coldplay’s Chris Martin took over—filling in for Bruno Mars, who features on the original version of the song. “It’s whatever, it’s whatever, it’s whatever you like…” he sang, with ROSÉ smiling beside him as the audience joined in unison: “Turn this ‘apt’ into a club.”

Released in October, “APT.” is part of ROSÉ’s debut solo album Rosie. The song became an international sensation, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Global 200 for 12 consecutive weeks.

Her performance at Goyang Stadium took place during the fourth of Coldplay’s six scheduled concerts in Korea, part of their ongoing Music of the Spheres world tour. Girl group TWICE is serving as the tour’s opening act, and they previously joined Coldplay during the April 16 kickoff show for a special live rendition of their collaborative track “We Pray,” which was officially released shortly after on digital platforms.
