Lil Nas X joins forces with League of Legends and releases new single 'Star Walkin'', which is the anthem of the popular video game's Worlds championship.

"Star Walkin'" is released alongside an animated video showcasing the iconic landmarks of San Francisco, the city that will host this season's League of Legends World Finals, as well as the oldest and newest professional players.

The environment transforms as pro players move through the city, highlighting League of Legends' iconic place in culture and the mastery of each pro player as they make their mark on the world.

There's an easter egg to be found in almost every shot, from regional championship spots to giant Champions turning into Mechanics and interesting information for League of Legends pros.

Lil Nas X brings "Star Walkin'" to the stage with an unforgettable live opening ceremony for the League of Legends Worlds Championship at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday, November 5th.

The League of Legends Worlds 2022 will begin on September 29 in Mexico City.

The League of Legends World Championship is the pinnacle of LoL's Esports competition, where the best teams from 11 different regions compete for the title of world champion. 24 teams take part in the tournament and only one team gets the title of the best in the world.

The World Championship breaks records every year. The 2021 final was watched by an average of over 30 million viewers, while at peak time viewers exceeded 73 million.

Before the final, a skin designed by Lil Nas X and Riot Games for a new League Of Legends hero named K'Sante The Pride Of Nazumah will be released.

The Lil Nas X Prestige Empyrean K'Sante skin will be released worldwide on November 3rd and will be available until November 14th. The skin will not be available for purchase, but will be obtainable by playing League of Legends or Teamfight Tactics during an in-game event. Players will need to earn a coin (2000 Worlds 2022 Tokens) to unlock the skin permanently.

Following Riot Games' partnership with Louis Vuitton, the Lil Nas X skin marks the company's first collaboration with a musician.

Lil Nas X stated, “I felt like it was time to try something new. I've made my mark on pop culture in so many ways and now it's time to take on the world of gaming. I will be the greatest League of Legends president ever."

“Also, I'm going to make the best Worlds anthem ever and host the biggest, coolest, sexiest Worlds in the history of all Worlds! "Star Walkin' is the only song anyone is allowed to listen to from now on," he added.

Lil Nas X is currently continuing his sold out 'Long Live Montero Tour' world tour, with the Chicago Sun-Times noting that "Lil Nas X stands out as an icon in his own right", adding that his show is a "multi-sensory feast" that "looks like a big show in Las Vegas".

The tour will travel across North America through October with a stop in Europe in November.
