Doja Cat keeps changing her album title due to disorder

Doja Cat explained why she couldn't decide on her album title.

Doja Cat is preparing her next album after 2021's 'Planet Her' and has been constantly sharing updates on her new record with her audience for the past few months.

One of the constant themes of the updates is the album title and its frequent changes.

Back in March, Doja Cat had hinted that her new album would be called 'Hellmouth', but she soon changed her mind and revealed in a since-deleted tweet that it would be titled 'First Of All'.

In less than a week, Doja Cat posted another tweet, noting – before deleting it – that she plans to change the title of her new album again.

Doja Cat explained her inability to make a decision while speaking to Insider on the sidelines of a Patrón El Cielo tequila launch party.

"My ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) kind of came to the fore — accidentally, I guess," the 27-year-old singer and rapper commented.

“I thought 'Hellmouth' was the name of the album, but then it wasn't. But I'm good at doing things at the last minute. So I say random things and I read comments and see how people take them and then I'm often like, 'no, I'm just kidding,'" he continued.

However, Doja Cat emphasized that she has "finally" settled on a title for her new album, clarifying: "It's not 'First Of All'."

Doja Cat previously opened up to Rolling Stone about her battle with ADHD, revealing that she dropped out of high school at the age of 16 because of the problems she faced.

"I felt like I was stuck in one spot and everyone else was constantly progressing," she said.

ADHD is one of the most common developmental disorders that is usually first diagnosed in childhood. Its characteristic symptoms are difficulty concentrating or controlling impulsive behaviors or excessive activity.
