Camila Cabello recently shared how emotional she felt when receiving a compliment from Beyoncé.

The 27-year-old singer, who launched her solo career in 2017 and has since released four albums, including her latest *C,XOXO* in June, recounted being overwhelmed when Beyoncé praised her work. On the *And The Writer Is…* podcast, Cabello shared, “Someone told me something amazing about my album recently: Beyoncé.”

"She actually said, ‘I love your new album,’ and I was just like, ‘You inspire me so much,’” Cabello recalled. “I walked away and cried."

During the same interview, Camila opened up about her struggles with self-doubt in the music industry, especially before hearing Beyoncé's praise. “I’ve been feeling really vulnerable and fragile,” she admitted. “I’ve been spending more time on social media than usual, reading comments that sometimes just leave me feeling down. It’s been really tough.”

Camila’s debut solo album, *Camila*, topped U.S. charts in 2018 and reached number two in the U.K. Her recent album, which features singles like *I Luv It*, *He Knows*, and *Hot Uptown*, received mixed reviews from critics upon its release.
