However, in a recent interview with *The Telegraph*, Springsteen dismissed the report, saying, "I'm not a billionaire. I wish I was, but they got that real wrong."

Springsteen's wealth saw a substantial increase in 2021 when he sold his masters and publishing rights to Sony Music in a deal worth approximately $500 million (£387 million). This sale handed over the ownership of his entire back catalogue to the company. Despite this lucrative transaction, Springsteen claims that he still doesn't meet the billionaire threshold because he has "spent too much money on superfluous things."

The *Born in the USA* icon remains active in the music industry, continuing to generate income from his live performances. Just this week, he played a concert in Toronto, Canada, the day after the presidential election. Springsteen, known for his political commentary, has previously criticized former President Donald Trump, calling him "mentally ill," and described the recent election as "the most consequential in our nation's history."

Additionally, actor Jeremy Allen White, best known for his role in *The Bear*, is set to portray Springsteen in an upcoming film that delves into the making of his iconic album *Nebraska*. The movie is expected to be released in 2025.
