The multi-platinum and 6-time GRAMMY-winning, one-of-a-kind Black Eyed Peas release their 9th full-length studio album, ELEVATION, via Panik Records/Sony Music.
The 15 tracks are in hip-hop, Latin, R&B, electronic, trap, and many other genres of music creating a new idea of ââwhat pop music can be like in the 21st century. The song “MUEVELO” [a collaboration with Anuel AA and Marshall Jefferson] shows us a pleasant note of the album that commands you to “Move your body,” and promises you that “We stay lit forever”. At another moment, “Dance 4 U” makes you move to the sound of strong bass and nice rhythms. The sample used in "Jump" is expected to cause terrible reactions in the audience, with the lyrics saying "Somebody said when you play this song all the girls will go loca". On the other hand, "Firestarter" lights fires with its unique vocals. The group shines more than ever on the new album.
The Black Eyed Peas recently gave us a new taste of 'ELEVATION' with the song 'SIMPLY THE BEST' [a collaboration with Brazilian pop superstar Anitta and El Alfa]. To date it has surpassed 2.9 million streams on Spotify and 18 million views on YouTube. Watch the video here. Critics panned it, with mxdwn writing, "'Simply The Best' acts as clear proof to fans that Black Eyed Peas remain just as capable of creating fun and energizing party tracks as they have been since their 1995 formation," and the That Grape Juice to refer to it as "a global affair".
“SIMPLY THE BEST” is a dance song with the lyrics in the chorus saying, “No it don't get better than, better than this”. The Black Eyed Peas, Anitta and El Alfa sing to each other, showcasing their unique chemistry. At the same time, Anitta adds her Brazilian element, El Alfa his distinctive temperament, combined with the Black Eyed Peas and their sounds that come with influences from Los Angeles music. Filmed in LA, the song's video continues the tradition of unreal images possessed by the group's latest videos.
The new album 'ELEVATION' finds the Black Eyed Peas in a very creative phase, in which they once again surpass themselves and take their music one step further. Of course, some close friends could not be missing. The group collaborates with Daddy Yankee on the reggaeton banger “BAILAR CONTIGO,” while Nicky Jam joins them on “GET DOWN” with a fresh approach. Then there is “FILIPINA QUEEN” where they join forces with J. Rey Soul. Nicole Scherzinger lends her excellent vocals on “NO ONE LOVES ME” and finally, the Black Eyed Peas find Ozuna on “L.O.V.E.” and with this they close their new album.
The way to 'ELEVATION' was opened with the worldwide hit "DON'T YOU WORRY" [featuring Shakira and David Guetta]. The song has amassed more than 100 million streams on Spotify and over 107 million views on YouTube. In between, it charted in the Top 40 of the Adult Contemporary Chart, the Top 30 of the iTunes Top Pop Songs Chart and the Top 50 of Shazam U.S. Top 200. We are definitely living the most 'ELEVATION' era for the Black Eyed Peas.
Join them in this new dimension!
