Bad Bunny: Still feeling like a "Rookie" in the music industry

Despite being a global sensation, Bad Bunny admits that he still feels like a newcomer in the music world. The 30-year-old artist, who debuted with his studio album X 100pre in 2018, revealed that even after nearly a decade in the industry, he approaches his career with the enthusiasm and curiosity of someone just starting out.

Speaking on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music, Bad Bunny shared his reflections on his journey so far:
"I’ve been reflecting on my life, my story, and my career—everything I’ve done over the years. I’m about to hit ten years in the industry, and it’s f***** crazy because sometimes I feel like I’m still a rookie, like this is my first year. To me, this feels like my first album all over again."*

Bad Bunny’s latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, has already captured the attention of fans, with the star naming Baile Inolvidable as his personal favorite track. He explained the song’s deep connection to his creative process:
"It’s a song that’s been in my mind for maybe two years. The entire composition and concept existed in my head long before I even created it."

A Return to His Puerto Rican Roots

The multi-award-winning artist describes his new album as a celebration of his Puerto Rican heritage. In an interview with TIME magazine, he emphasized how Debí Tirar Más Fotos represents a shift in his musical journey:
"This is an album of Puerto Rican music, and it carries a completely different vibe from anything any other artist has done. I’ve discovered my roots—the sound that truly represents me."

Bad Bunny’s artistic evolution has been shaped by a wide array of inspirations, some of which remain unknown even to those who influenced him. Reflecting on this, he said:
"I’ve written songs inspired by people who have no f***** clue they’ve had such an impact on me. The meaning of a song can come from so many places—whether it’s the absence of someone you’ve lost, love, or even things that are no longer part of your life."*

With his passion and introspection, Bad Bunny continues to redefine the boundaries of his artistry, blending authenticity with bold experimentation.
