Adele's father has passed away.
Adele's father, Mark Evans, with whom the singer did not have a relationship, died at the age of 57.

A source told The Sun: "Mark's family is deeply saddened by his death. He always hoped things would get better with Adele, but they stayed bad until the end. "He made some attempts to fix them, but it clearly took a long time."

Mark Evans left Adele and her mother, Penny Adkins, when the singer was three years old. He moved to Wales, where he was born and worked as a plumber.

Adele's father had battled cancer in the past, but the cause of his death has not been revealed.

In 2011 Mark Evans spoke to "The Sun" about the fact that he was an alcoholic and a bad father during Adele's childhood.

"I was a bad father at a time when he really needed me. I drank two liters of vodka and seven or eight beers daily. I drank like this for three years. "God only knows how I survived," he admitted.

"I was deeply ashamed of what I was becoming and I knew that the best thing I could do for Adele was to make sure she would never see this situation," she added.

At the 2017 Grammy Awards, Adele thanked manager Jonathan Dickens, saying: "I love you as if you were my dad. I love you so much". Then he added laughing: "I do not love my dad, that's right! That does not mean much. I love you as much as I would love my dad! "
