Hayze is the name of at least two bands: 1) an original rock band from Ipswich, England and 2) a Nirvana tribute band. There is probably a third act called Hayze that has been tagged "Drum and Bass" and "Jungle". These tags do not relate to (1) and (2).
(1) HAYZE - The band is not signed in the traditional sense but set up their own label Oh Mercy! Records to release their work.
The band comprises:
Pete Thompson - lead guitar and main vocals
Paul Backhouse - bass
Jim Newstead - drums and backing vocals
Since its inception in 2001, Hayze have released 6 EPs, 2 singles and an album, but the early releases are impossible or very hard to get hold of now.
The line-up changed many times over time with Thompson being the one constant member since the band's formation. Newstead joined the band in 2005 replacing Rich Webb on drums, and finally Backhouse joined in 2008 replacing Andrew Beresford on bass.
