There exists at least 5 musical entities that go by the name "Commoner".
1) A 4 piece rock band from Salt Lake City, combining beautiful harmony and crushing riffs. They smoothly mix multiple genres (post-rock, post-metal, post-hardcore, etc.) into one cohesive sound. Check them out at www.facebook.com/commonerslc
2) An experimental one-man project based in Australia. The project draws influences from drone, psychedelic, noise, and an eclectic range of other genres, with compositions generally being constructions of successive layered improvisations. Instrumentation is often heavily electric guitar focused with many sound manipulation techniques being employed to sculpt tracks into their final form. That said, various other acoustic and electric instruments are also at times present.
3) An experimental-hardcore band from San Diego, CA, USA. They've recently released their debut EP "The Empire is Moving", and will no doubt flood this page with scrobbles very soon! However, their myspace (myspace.com/commonerband) links to CMMNR as their last.fm page.
4) A United States based dub, ska, and punk band. They appear to be inactive, last logging into their myspace account on 26/03/2006. See http://www.myspace.com/commoneraz.
