Kelis (born Kelis Rogers on August 21, 1979), is known simply by her first name Kelis (pronounced Kuh-lees). Her name is an amalgamation of her parents' first names, her black father Kenneth and Chinese-Puerto Rican mother Eveliss. Growing up in Middle Class Harlem, New York Kelis' childhood was not a deprived one. There are several bands under the name LED.1) LED started on winter of 2006. It took its origin from one-gig's band the Srocker's. Srockers played rhythm guitar, Keciak on lead and Pioter played bass. In the beginning without drummer, just with drum machine programmed by Rogi Tong, LEd started with charity concerts. Dziad, the drummer, joined them on March 2006. After few weeks Rogi left.
